QUINTIN BAYAS EXIT INTERVIEW

1) What are you most proud of from your time with YBB?

I'm most proud of developing a solid work ethic and developing my brand. I've noticed that with anything work related, I'm known as reliable and dependable now. I took it to another level when I joined YouthBuild Boston. 

2) What has been your biggest challenge since starting at YBB?

Sticking with it. There are days when you don't want to go to work, days when you don't want to go to class, but you have to stick with it. 

3) What is one thing you found surprising during your time here?

I didn't think I would leave YouthBuild Boston with so much valuable information -- I learned a lot more about life and myself, not just construction and earning my diploma. 

4) What is your favorite memory from your time here?

Building the shed was one of my favorite memories. We weren't just building the shed, sometimes we would stop and have deep conversations. We weren't just building sheds, we were building relationships. 

5) What will you miss most about YBB after you graduate? 

The people -- I got very comfortable having a schedule with you guys and I got very close with a lot of the staff. I didn't think I was going to open up. I was off to the side and thought I would pass the classes and be out. Instead, I built real bonds with people and real friendships.
