YBBlog: Designery Fall Session 2019 February 20, 2020 Guest User This year’s fall session Designers worked on several great projects. Students designed an aquaponic system for an urban farm on Geneva Rd. in Dorchester. Designery students and staff are also getting very involved with the city’s Accessory Dwelling Unit initiative, which aims to help homeowners keep their property while providing affordable housing. Students also participated in a design exchange with teens from the ACE Mentoring program. In addition to the great field trips students took to Boston Architectural College, Silverman Trykowski, Haley House Farm, and Gensler, students designed and modeled outfits for the IIDA’s annual fashion show. The show opened with remarks from Project Development Manager Michael Chavez and Designery alum Alexis, before student models took to the runway. It was a successful session through-and-though for the Designery!
