Last month YBB celebrated our new PA students who recently completed Rites of Passage and BTAC orientation. This intensive 3-week onboarding period allows the new students to acclimate to the culture of YBB while earning several industry-recognized credentials.

Upon earning certifications including OSHA-10 and First Aid CPR, the students will be allowed to safely work on a construction site where they will receive hands-on training that sets them apart from their peers and helps them build a career in the building trades. We are also celebrating our last cohort of PA students, who have all completed the program and received letters to join the carpenter's union! These students have been awarded an opportunity to work on a union job in nearby Cambridge, MA, where they will be earning a prevailing wage. This is an excellent opportunity for our students to work on a larger project under Shawmut Design and Construction and Starlite Building Services.
