Empowering Youth, Strengthening Neighborhoods, and Impacting the Industry for More Than 30 Years!

This year YouthBuild Boston celebrates 30 years of service to the community. In these strange times, we are more grateful than ever for the support of our friends and partners as we continue to empower youth, strengthen neighborhoods, and transform the building trades through our innovative and comprehensive programming. We began in 1990 in the basement of Elliot Church in Roxbury’s historic Fort Hill neighborhood and since then we have supported over 1400 young people on a path to social development, civic engagement and economic upward mobility. Our YBB trainees have developed over 100 units of affordable housing – serving our city and its residents while learning and growing. We have a lot up our sleeves for the coming year, and are excited to share our plans and successes with you along the way.

The health and safety of our students, staff, and individuals who support our mission remains our top priority. Yet, even as our offices remain closed with the uncertainty that the current COVID-19 crisis brings, YouthBuild Boston continues to provide services to our community and the young people in our programs. While our students will continue to receive their bi-weekly stipend to help meet basic needs, the pandemic means our students are in need of additional items and support, has generated additional service needs including personal protective equipment, remote learning supplies, and weekly food deliveries. Please consider giving now in support of our students as they continue to play a leadership role in strengthening their community during this crisis. Thank you for your support over the last 30 years. We look forward to 30 more!
