To close out this second week of Careers in Construction Month, we're featuring a great resource from Build Your Future (BYF) as part of the campaign to raise awareness about career paths in construction and inspire the next generation of craft professionals. The posters in this slideshow represent just some of the many careers in construction that our students are exposed to as they learn through their work on real projects across the city of Boston.

In addition to our core curriculum in construction training from the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER), our Building Trades Exploration students attend workshops and site tours from our many industry partners who provide mentorship to the young people in our programs. Many of our Pre-Apprentice students work closely alongside these professionals on real project sites while they practice their skills and demonstrate their professionalism out in the field. Our Designery students experience first-hand the many facets of a career in Architecture while they hone fundamental graphic, modeling, and design-thinking skills through real design projects for non-profit clients around the city. Students frequently tour local design firms, and some students even participate in summer internships.

Thank you to our many industry partners who help enrich each of our programs through mentorship opportunities, internships, placements, and other forms of program support. Please contact us to learn more about how you or your company can get involved.
