Season 42 of 'This Old House' Features Two YBB Graduates!

YBB graduates Bobbi Jones and Yeren Rivera Cruz recently had an opportunity to work on the site of television series 'This Old House' for six weeks, and will be featured in a total of four episodes with air dates beginning April 29th, 2021.

Yeren began his time with YBB in our Building Trades Exploration (BTE) Program, where he was able to obtain his High School Equivalency Degree (HED) before transitioning into our PA Program. Yeren plans to join the Carpenter's Union and start his own business one day.

Bobbi and Yeren are both 2020 graduates of YBB’s Pre-Apprentice (PA) Program. Bobbi says she gained exposure to carpentry, framing, and flooring while enrolled in the program, and hopes to gain more knowledge in carpentry and HVAC systems to further her career after the PA program.

Both graduates say they feel lucky to have participated in this great opportunity. Season 42 of of the show takes place in Dorchester, MA, where the crew restores a fire-damaged triple-decker built in 1905. Here in Boston, the show will run on GBH 2 at 8pm. Nationally, This Old House airs on many PBS stations on Thursdays at 8pm. CLICK HERE to find out exactly when an episode will air in your area.
