Community Partnerships
At YouthBuild Boston, our students play a vital role in community service by applying their skills to support construction needs. Through projects such as renovating spaces, building urban gardens, and creating affordable housing, they enhance their construction abilities while giving back. Each project not only builds structures but strengthens neighborhoods. Collaborating with community partners fosters a sense of service and teamwork, empowering students to drive positive change. Last year, our dedicated students, alongside our skilled and experienced vocational staff, collaborated closely with UpAcademy in Dorchester to design, plan, and construct a functional farm shed and stand. This important initiative was specifically aimed at supporting the school’s valuable agriculture and urban farming programs, providing essential resources for hands-on learning opportunities while also fostering meaningful community engagement and connection among all participants involved in the project.
