
YBB Design Programs at the DEsignery
YBB’s Design Programs include after school and summer sessions, and offer architecture and design exposure for high school students. Participants engage in the design process and learn how design can drive social change and empower communities. Through hands-on projects and mentorship, students explore various design fields, including architecture, urban planning, interior design, and construction. The program highlights how thoughtful design meets community needs and creates functional spaces. Students acquire practical skills and a better understanding of how their ideas can shape the future, preparing them for careers in design and related fields.
Who is it for?
YBB’s Design Programs are for Boston high school students interested in exploring design, architecture, and related fields.
What iS involveD?
The after school design program lasts 5 weeks and is offered several times throughout the school year.
The summer program lasts 7 weeks.
Both session types combine hands-on design projects with mentorship. Participants learn about architects, urban planners, and interior designers while discovering how design fosters positive social change.
What is expected?
Students should actively engage in design projects, attend mentorship sessions, and explore the complete design process.
What IS gAINED?
